Utah VS UNLV

For the U of U vs UNLV game a group of us went to Las Vegas for the game. Sonia and I rode the New York New York roller coaster which was actually pretty painful. Its a rough coaster! The Utes of course won so it was a fun game.

I finally made it into the M and M store and the Coca-cola store. I have been to Vegas a ton of times and have never made my way over there.

Halloween

This Halloween we went up to Salt Lake City and had a great weekend with family and friends. Halloween night we went to party at my mom and Rusty's house.

Things I haven't blogged about but really should have...

Since my last blog a lot of fun things have happened. Here is the rundown.

-My birthday-I had a really great birthday this year. YAY 25! Sonia and Ryan drove down to me and we partied hardy. The best Birthday present was getting to spend time with my crazy family and insane friends.

-Kristopher graduated- Kris graduated with his Bachelors degree in Economics. We are all so proud of him!

- Trip to Carlsbad- as a celebration of Kris' graduation, Mothers day, and Kirby and my 5th wedding anniversary we flew out to San Diego/ Carlsbad CA. It was a VERY fun trip. I love my family and am SO glad we can spend time like that together without any fuss.

-The interior design business is finally making headway and almost making me money. It has been a long Long road but doing what you love is worth a little trouble.

-Kirby got a job at Enterprise Car Rental. He is a Manager Trainee right now with lots of space to move upward and onward.

Lets see I think those are the major highlights of the last couple of months. We have been fortunate enough to attend many spring time parties, travel to Salt Lake, and Spend time with family and friends.

Sunrise Hike

Yesterday we went on a sunrise hike on a trail near our house. Here a few of the pics I took while up there.

Mia in her element. She was SO happy running around up there.

Weekend in Salt Lake

Last week we planned a spontaneous trip to Salt Lake. Once our friends and families got word of our trip our time was quickly filled. We had an amazing time with everyone. It was so nice to catch up with our loved ones.

I carried my camera everywhere with me while I was there and only got one picture.

The first signs of spring

I am sitting here chewing a piece of egg shaped bubble gum sent, via mail, to me by my oldest friend (basically sister) Cami.

The excitement of Spring, the warming air, the beautiful flowers, and the aroma of sage. BTW the flavor of my gum is already gone. Anyway, I love spring and getting those yummy bubble gum eggs today was awesome nostalgia. It took me back to Easter baskets, Cadbury Eggs, chocolate bunnies, dying eggs, jump rope, bike riding ,and the best part... School was almost out for summer!!

As an adult with no kids the simple things that make spring.. well.. spring can easily be forgone without another thought. So this year, with the help of some inspiration by Cami, I've decided to just go ahead and do all the little things. Today Kirby and I planted flowers and herbs. Who knows what we'll do next.

Golf Day

Yesterday my mom, kirby and I went golfing at Dixie Red Hills. We had a great time. Both my mom and Kirby are used to playing the Entrada course which is extremely difficult so for them it was a nice change. For me it was just as frustrating as ever! I really need to practice much more than I do.

The Parade of Homes

Last week was the Parade of Homes down here in good ol' Saint George. With the economy suffering the homes were more modest this year with the exception of a One. This home seems as though it was built for royal children.
here are some pics of that one.

This is the pool and inside was a very neat surprise!

This sitting area is only accessible but way of the pool. A swim up T.V. How cool is that!
There is also a separate spa area included in this "pool house".

And yes folks there was a Basket ball court in the basement. Not to mention the three whole putting green and weight room, aerobics room AND full size racquetball court.

This house also included a nail salon and a complete Harry Potter area that had a Platform 9 3/4 and sectioned reading areas for all the kids.

We had a great time.

Las Vegas

On February 9th Mike and I drove to the ever so fabulous Las Vegas for the Las Vegas Furniture Market. My mom flew in from Salt Lake to meet us there for three days of walking, networking, and a little fun. The Market is comprised of three, inter-connected buildings totaling 5 million square feet!! We saw about 25 % of it. With floor after floor of furniture and accessories it is quite a sight to behold. For an interior designer it is just as good, if not a little better than Disneyland.

The drive to Las Vegas for us is only about 2 hours. We stayed in the Excalibur hotel and weren't necessarily happy with it. It is old and slightly stinky. But for $60 a night I guess I can't complain... not to mention, who goes to Vegas to sit in the room anyways.

We made a lot of really great contacts and got set up to sell their furniture and accessories. If you are ever going to buy furniture CALL ME first!!! Most of the time I can get it at a better price. :)

As if there aren't enough ways to keep in touch...

I'm excited to announce that on top of myspace and Facebook and our website we have adopted another way to keep intouch with our friends and family scattered around the world. I hope I can keep this up to date and thus all of you up to date. For a recap of the last 6 years see our "About Me" area.
